Who we are
Thirty years of bodywork, five of them in Edinburgh
Ozgur Car Body Repair is run by Abdurrahim Akyol, who has spent more than thirty years repairing and refinishing vehicle bodywork — the last five of them here in Edinburgh.
We repair accident damage, dents, scratches, rust, bumpers and trim, and we refinish what we repair ourselves rather than sending paintwork out to somebody else.
Most of our work arrives one of two ways: a private customer who has had a bad morning in a car park, or another Edinburgh garage that needs bodywork done properly and quickly for one of their own customers. Both get the same standard of finish.
We would rather talk you out of an expensive repair than sell you one. If a dent can be taken out without paint, we will say so. If a bumper is genuinely finished, we will say that too.

An honest price
Quoted in writing before we start. If something underneath changes the job, we stop and ring you rather than adding it to the bill.
Proper preparation
Paint is mostly preparation. Guide coats, flatting and clean masking are what stop a repair announcing itself a year later.
Realistic timescales
We quote the time the job genuinely takes, including curing. We would rather tell you three days up front than promise one and disappoint you.
Checked before you see it
Every job is flatted, polished and inspected in good light before the car goes back to you — not signed off in a dim corner of the workshop.
Who we work for
Private owners, garages and fleets
About half our week is private customers — someone who has scraped a pillar in a multi-storey, or is handing a lease car back and would rather not pay the end-of-contract damage charges. The other half is trade: garages and dealers across Edinburgh who send us the bodywork and paint they do not do in house.
